All the other posts have months between them... this one will have maybe a week. Nick has been insisting that I add his handywork for everyone to see and we have Halloween pictures to add, so here we go.
These are the shelves that Nick made for me. I am very impressed with his skills. They are very sturdy, which is good, now I can just crawl up them to get to the top shelf, instead of getting a step ladder. I think Nick rather enjoyed making them. It is nice to have a place that he can play in and do MANLY improvements in. What a Stud!

Here is another project that Nick helped the kids with. We always love Nick's pumpkins! Brynli and Ari were both willing to help muck out the innards- Chance outright refused to put his hand into that thing! Once the gunk was out of the pumpkin though, he was very willing to help me pull all the seeds out to cook.

Here is our real home! We have really been enjoying having our own place and we are full of plans for things to do. So far I have been doing a lot of cleaning and scrubbing, trying to make the place "ours."

The most recent "family picture" that we have. We really should have a real photographer take a family picture sometime. It is scary how much Brynli can look like me, down to the same facial expressions!

Brynli's first day of school. She was so excited to be off- she hardly looked back. I managed to keep a mostly stiff upper lip. She loves it. She is already in the thick of school girl drama and loves the social life. She does manage to learn something and has been impressing me with what she has learned. Don't laugh, but she is always asking me how to spell this or that. Pretty soon I'll be asking her.

Ari loves to read the Fancy Nancy books, which are all about a girl that likes to be fancy. You can tell from the picture why she might like the books. At the same time, she loves to be active. Last night, Ari came in from playing on the scooter with a big strawberry on her elbow and a swollen, scraped up nose from two different scooter accidents. Ari likes fancy and fast! Nick and I really will need help.

I love this picture. It is a little old, but it is SO my little man. I have lots of nicknames for Chance, and he always tells me, "No, Mom, I just Chance boy!" Chance boy has discovered matchbox cars and he carries them everywhere. I find them in all his pockets. When we go to the store he insists on bringing three, which he juggles, drops, and periodically drives through the isles. I don't know how a boy can be so sweet and stubborn at the same time.

Here is our almost home in Waverly! We are waiting to see if everything will work out with our short sale. We are enjoying the house, although our arrival was eventful!

This happened the first day the kids and I got here! That night Bryn and Nick were also throwing up. The great thing about it is that things have only gotten better. The ceiling is now fixed and Nick and Bryn are better.

Here is a picture of the geese in our backyard. We have loved watching them grow from goslings, but they make a lot of fertilizer! Brynli's new job is to scare them away and she does it with gusto. We have also seen a BIG turtle, frogs, snakes, squirrels, rabbits, a raccoon, groundhogs, a ferret, blue heron and all kinds of birds and insects. Mom pointed out we have fireflies and the kids and Nick caught two the other night.

Nick's been enjoying the fishing. This one was over five pounds after it was gutted. Ari got sick during the gutting and had to leave, Brynli weathered through it and Chance loved it! I haven't done any fishing, but I mush admit it is pretty peaceful to go out and sit with Nick and watch the water and the birds.

Grandpa Comin, Matney, Rob (not in the picture) Taylor, and Mom came to visit us. It was really nice having family. We love it here, but have really felt, even in this short time, the distance, from family.

AND last but not least.... Brynli has lost here first tooth. She is too young for it, but then maybe acting like a teenager speeds up development. Last night when it was time to put the tooth under her pillow she started to cry. She couldn't decide if she wanted the money from the tooth fairy or to keep the tooth. In the end, she decided to hide the tooth from the tooth fairy, at least for the night. We'll see how long she lasts.

We love it here, and feel that the Lord has brought
us safely into this new country, but
we miss and love you all,
keep in touch!
